Human–AI Knowledge Base Development is a disciplined, iterative method for combining artificial intelligence, human experience and judgement to develop, challenge and continuously regenerate shared organisational knowledge.
The method begins with honest stakeholder engagement and consequence mapping. It examines who is affected, what they experience, what they value, and the consequences of organisational choices. Critically, it compares what the organisation believes about its stakeholders with what independent research, stakeholder participation and operational evidence reveal.
AI can rapidly research, identify patterns, challenge assumptions, compare alternatives and generate candidate models. Humans contribute contextual understanding, tacit knowledge, ethical judgement and practical experience. Neither AI-generated outputs nor established organisational beliefs are accepted as knowledge without critical examination.
The method progressively develops organisational knowledge through:
Stakeholder Engagement & Consequence Mapping → Outcomes & KPIs → Value Propositions & Value Chain → Value Streams & Scenarios → Capabilities & Data Models → Activities & Processes → Gemba Validation → Learning, Reframing & Revision.
Continuous testing against reality is fundamental. Every model, assumption and decision remains open to challenge through stakeholder experience, evidence, experimentation and observation in Gemba. Validation is not a final checkpoint but a perpetual process of organisational learning.
The entire cycle operates within Purpose, Ethics and Governance, ensuring that stakeholder consequences, value, risk, responsibility and accountability remain visible throughout.
Golden rule:
AI may generate at machine scale. Humans can only validate at human scale.
A coherent model is not necessarily a correct model. Organisational knowledge must continually earn its credibility through engagement with reality.
