Mary’s most visible contribution comes during the final presentation, where she joins Bill and Bruno in bringing together the human, practical and technological dimensions of the adaptive capacity elements. While Bill explains the concepts and Bruno demonstrates the architecture, Mary continually translates ideas into their human implications. Her warmth, credibility and practical insight help Sam see that adaptive capacity is not simply another management framework but a way of building an organisation where people genuinely want to contribute. Together, the three present a compelling vision that ultimately helps win Sam’s commitment.
