An organisational learning ecosystem is the set of relationships, practices and structures through which an organisation learns from experience.
Learning becomes organisational when insight moves beyond the individuals involved. It must be shared, tested and reflected in the organisation’s knowledge, decisions, routines or design; otherwise the lesson disappears when people move on.
A healthy learning ecosystem allows people to surface difficult information, examine assumptions and turn consequences into better action. When these connections are weak, organisations repeatedly encounter the same problems while continuing to describe themselves as learning organisations.
