Human Capital is the knowledge, skills, experience, judgement and capability held by people.
Social Capital is the trust, relationships, communication, reciprocity and cooperation that enable those individual capabilities to connect and work collectively.
Human Capital can exist within individuals, but whenever capability must extend beyond the individual, Social Capital is required to connect and mobilise it. Together, continually cultivated and renewed, they form the human and relational foundations of Adaptive Capacity.
